Twitter Spaces for iOS Is Testing a New Clipping Tool for Select Hosts
Social media platform Twitter is testing a new feature on iOS that will allow select hosts of Twitter Spaces to share a clip of recorded Spaces on their timeline.
Twitter Spaces is a feature within Twitter that lets users have live audio conversations on the microblogging platform, similar to Clubhouse.
The new clipping tool now allows hosts to clip 30-second audio from recorded Spaces that they can share with others. The feature is designed to provide a new way for users to draw interest in their Spaces, as well as highlight a specific part of the audio without having to share the entire recording.
All iOS users can view and listen to such clips on their timelines. The feature will only be available to Spaces hosts at launch, though Twitter plans to expand it to everyone on Twitter soon.
Hosts can create an unlimited number of audio clips, and each of them will live on Twitter for 30 days.
Twitter is gradually introducing new features for Spaces, including Spaces Recordings, where users can listen to complete recordings. Hosts also can see how many people have joined live and how many have played back the recording.
