At the Awesome Galaxy A Event, Samsung has officially unveiled an update to its line of mid-range A-series smartphones, which includes the Galaxy A33, Galaxy A53, and Galaxy A73. They have the same design as their predecessors, but feature support for 5G, Android 12, and other improved characteristics.
Samsung Galaxy A33
This model is the most affordable one among the new products. The Galaxy A33 is equipped with a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and refresh rate of 90Hz, Corning Gorilla Glass 5, and a teardrop-shaped cutout for the front camera of 13 MP.
The main camera includes a 48 MP (f/1.8) main sensor with OIS, an 8 MP ultra-wide sensor, a 2 MP depth sensor, and a 5 MP macro unit.
Inside, it features the Exynos 1280 processor. The smartphone has a 5,000 mAh battery with 25W fast-charging support. Both the A33 and A53 models come in two memory configurations of 6/128 GB and 8/256 GB, have microSD slots for up to 1 TB, and are rated IP67 for water and dust resistance.
The price starts at 369 euros, and the smartphone will be available in select markets from April 22.
Samsung Galaxy A53
The Galaxy A53 received a 6.5-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The 32 MP front camera is punch-holed into the display. This model also features Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
The main camera is represented by a 64 MP (f/1.8, OIS) sensor, a 12 MP ultra-wide module (f/2.2), a 5 MP macro camera, and a 5 MP depth sensor.
The processor, memory capacities, and battery are the same as those of the Galaxy A33.
The price starts at 449 euros, and the smartphone will be available in select markets from April 1.
Samsung Galaxy A73
This smartphone looks very similar to the Galaxy A53 5G and comes with a 6.7-inch display, a Full HD+ pixel resolution, and a 120Hz refresh rate. It comes in white, black, and sage color options.
The processor here is different: instead of the proprietary Exynos, the Galaxy A73 is claimed to be running on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G chipset, but this is not yet official.
Samsung Galaxy A73 comes with a quad-camera on the rear, which consists of one main sensor (108 MP, f/1.8 aperture, and optical image stabilization), an ultra-wide sensor (12 MP), a depth sensor (5 MP), and a macro sensor (5 MP). The front camera of 32 MP has an aperture of f/2.2.
This model does not differ from the other two A-series smartphones in terms of other specs.
The price has not been announced yet, but the smartphone will be available in select markets from April 22.
