A special and rare Apple-1 first batch computer with a serial number handwritten by Steve Jobs is now up for auction, with the first bid coming in at $270,000.
The Apple-1 is one of the first Apple products created by Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak, and there are only a few of them left. This particular model is the first Apple-1 computer for sale in many years with an authenticated serial number handwritten by Steve Jobs himself.
One of Apple's first employees, Daniel Kottke, has even confirmed that the computer is in working condition. It comes with the original monitor, Datanetics keyboard, modern cassette interface, cables, power supply, and a reproduction of the original operation manual signed by Ronald Wayne and Steve Wozniak.
