Google has released an update to its photo app Google Photos, making its Magic Eraser photo editing tool available on more smartphones. Previously, it was only available to users of branded Pixel 5 and Pixel 7 smartphones.

The Magic Eraser feature will now be available on the Google Photos app to all Google One subscribers on both iOS and Android devices. At the same time, all Pixel smartphone owners will have access to Magic Eraser without having to sign up for a paid Google One subscription.

Google to Blur Explicit Images in Search Results by Default
SafeSearch will soon become the default setting for all users, even if they don’t have the SafeSearch filtering technology turned on. Before this change, the filter was already enabled by default for signed-in users under 18.

Magic Eraser allows you to remove unwanted elements from a photo, such as people or animals accidentally caught in the frame, and replace them using AI.

In addition to the Magic Eraser feature, the subscription also includes several other features. For example, subscribers of the service will have access to a new HDR video editing effect, which helps balance dark foregrounds and bright backgrounds, or vice versa.
