Meta is launching an online clothing store where users of Facebook, Instagram, and Messenger can buy digital designer clothes for their avatars. It was announced by the CEO of Meta, Mark Zuckerberg.

It is reported that at first, such brands as Balenciaga, Prada, and Thom Browne will present their brands in the store. They will offer branded hoodies, suits, and other virtual outfits.
Virtual clothes will be much cheaper than the brands' real designer clothes. In the future, the number of brands for the meta-universe is expected to grow. Free clothing options for Meta avatars will still be available.

Zuckerberg hopes to turn the store into an open marketplace where people can create and sell digital clothing.
The digital clothing store for avatars should start operating this week in the United States, Canada, Thailand, and Mexico.
