The audio-based social network Clubhouse, which has gained considerable popularity in recent months, will soon become available to Android users, says a blog post of the app.

For about a year, the platform was used only by owners of devices based on iOS, but now the developers announced the deployment of the beta version of Clubhouse for Android. For now, the app is only available to US users.

“We will begin gradually, with the U.S. today, followed by other English-speaking countries and then the rest of the world. Our plan over the next few weeks is to collect feedback from the community, fix any issues we see and work to add a few final features like payments and club creation before rolling it out more broadly,” reads the announcement.

Clubhouse Android Version Will Be Released Only in the Summer
One of the founders of the Clubhouse app, Paul Davison, announced that the Android version of the voice chat app would be released in a couple of months.

Those who want to download Clubhouse outside of the United States can still pre-register in the Google Play store. They will receive notifications once the Android version of the app arrives in their country.

Earlier in May, it was announced that Clubhouse started testing an app for Android.

Clubhouse gained wide popularity at the beginning of 2021. Its limited availability caused large social media platforms to create their own similar services. This allowed them to attract those Android users who were interested in the functionality of Clubhouse, but did not have the opportunity to use the application on their devices.
