Huawei has launched its latest innovation in wearable technology, the Eyewear 2 sunglasses, equipped with a host of smart features including a posture sensor and audio player. Designed with a sleek black square frame and UV400 protective lenses, these sunglasses are powered by HarmonyOS and aim to blend style with advanced functionality.
The Eyewear 2 offers an array of intelligent capabilities. A built-in voice assistant alerts wearers about weather conditions, flights, and smartphone app notifications. Unique to this model, the sunglasses include a posture reminder that prompts users to straighten their backs.
For audio enthusiasts, the Eyewear 2 features an open design for listening to music through integrated speakers. For those seeking privacy, the sunglasses can be paired with in-ear headphones, such as Huawei's FreeBuds Pro series. Users can also seamlessly connect and switch between multiple HarmonyOS devices using touch controls or the voice assistant.
Despite revealing many sophisticated features, Huawei has not disclosed the battery specifications but notes that the sunglasses can last up to 11 hours on a single charge. They are also rated IP54 for splash and sweat resistance.
The Eyewear 2 is available with either standard black lenses or transparent lenses, offered in various frame styles. Currently available for pre-order in China for approximately $305, with retail pricing slightly higher at about $320, the release dates for global markets have yet to be announced.
