The PIP mode will work on devices running iOS 15, iPadOS 15 and higher. To turn on the feature, go to Settings > General in your YouTube app and activate the appropriate option. To use it, simply choose a YouTube video to watch and leave the app by swiping up from the bottom of the screen, or pressing the home button.
Picture-in-picture lets you watch YouTube videos in a small mini player while browsing other apps on your device. You can freely move the mini player across the screen to make your viewing experience more convenient.
