YouTube is testing a feature that will allow any user to make short clips of live streams or videos - from 5 to 60 seconds. Then it can immediately be posted separately from the main one with a unique link.

Clips are 5-60 sec, shareable, segments of content (Live/VOD) that live on top of the original video.

It is quite a useful feature that will allow you to share the most exciting moments from streams and videos without forcing the user to search for it on a three-hour stream.
The feature is currently available to a limited number of users.
The addition of this feature to Youtube indicates that the platform plans to strengthen its online streaming experience.
Short clips of live streams or videos from interesting moments can go viral and disperse into memes. In turn, it can attract a large number of new viewers, who will go to watch the full version after watching a short clip.
Now it will be easier to share live video content via a short video clip that can be passed around social media.
