Microsoft Unveils Nostalgic Windows Backgrounds for Teams

As part of #ThrowbackThursday, a popular Internet trend on social media, Microsoft has released a series of wallpapers in which the company reimagines some of the elements of Windows OS. Users use this hashtag to accompany the pictures from different times of their lives.

The first image is dedicated to Clippy, one of the most popular virtual assistants that was first in Microsoft Office 97. However, the company later abandoned it because users found it too intrusive, and Clippy became an occasion for various kinds of parodies and jokes.

The next picture can break the hearts of all office workers who used to kill time at work by playing Solitaire or others who have been bored for hours at the computer by playing it. The game first appeared in Windows 3.0 in 1990 and remains one of the most popular video games of all time.

In this image, any Microsoft user will recognize the default splash screen in Windows XP. The original photograph was taken in 1996 by Charles O'Rear in the Los Carneros American Viticultural Area of California's Wine Country. According to various estimates, billions of people have seen the picture, making it one of the most viewed photographs in history.

Another Teams background features elements of the Paint graphics editor, which was first introduced in November 1985 as part of Windows 1.0.

Microsoft Teams is an enterprise platform used for work chats and video conferencing.

Microsoft is also testing a new Office suite design with an enhanced user interface to match the new Windows 11 operating system, which it announced earlier.
