Google's Switch to Android app is now compatible with all smartphones with Android 12. The tech giant launched this free iOS app not long ago, allowing people to seamlessly switch from an iPhone to an Android phone by transferring important data such as photos, contacts, or calendar entries.

“Starting today, support for the Switch to Android app on iOS is rolling out to all Android 12 phones, so you can move over some important information from your iPhone to your new Android seamlessly,” the blog post reads.

At first, the app was only limited to Google's Pixel devices, but now it will also be easier for Android 12 phones owners to move from an iPhone to their new Android device.

The process of migrating from an iPhone to an Android device is pretty simple: the Switch to Android app displays a QR code on the iPhone to initiate a transfer process. Then, you need to scan the QR code with your Android device to begin transferring data such as videos, photos, contacts, calendar events, and even WhatsApp messages – all of which can be transferred wirelessly.

Google Introduced an App That Lets iOS Users Wirelessly Switch to Android
While switching from one Android smartphone to another is relatively easy, transferring data from iPhone to Android is rather complicated since it requires creating backups to Google Drive and manual data recovery.

Before Google introduced this app, transferring data from iPhone to Android was rather complicated since it required creating backups to Google Drive and manual data recovery.

In case you want to switch from an Android phone to an iPhone, Apple has its own Move to iOS app that has been available since 2015.
