Google Adds Short Videos to Play Store to Help Users Discover New Apps

Google is innovating the way users discover new apps through a new video series called The Play Report, designed to make finding the perfect app an engaging and informative experience.

The Play Report aims to bridge the gap between users and the millions of apps available on the Google Play Store. This original video series features gaming and lifestyle experts who share their insights and recommendations about the latest and greatest apps and games on Google Play.

Each episode will feature expert voices, including creators and Google employees. These experts will cover everything from trending content to hidden gems, providing viewers with valuable insights to make informed app choices.

Google Will Ask Users to Verify Suspicious Actions on Gmail
If the system detects potentially suspicious activity, it will require additional identity verification, such as entering a code from an SMS or secondary email. If verification fails, a notification requesting confirmation will be sent to trusted devices.

Initially, The Play Report is available to select users in the United States and can be found on the Play Store homepage, while those who are not in the pilot program can watch the videos on Google Play's YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram accounts.
