GitHub Introduces an AI Tool for Fixing Code Vulnerabilities

GitHub has launched a new AI-powered tool, Copilot Autofix, designed to help developers quickly fix vulnerabilities in their code. This innovative tool not only detects security issues but also provides explanations and automated suggestions for fixing them, allowing developers to approve or edit the changes in just a few clicks.

Copilot Autofix addresses a wide range of vulnerabilities, including SQL injections and cross-site scripting, and helps developers fix both new and existing issues. During public beta testing, developers were able to fix vulnerabilities three times faster using Copilot Autofix compared to manual methods.

By leveraging AI, GitHub aims to streamline the remediation process, reduce security risks, and empower developers to maintain secure code with ease.
