Facebook has achieved a significant milestone by surpassing 3 billion monthly active users, as noted in Meta's latest quarterly update and reported by TechCrunch. The impressive figure includes all of Meta's apps, such as WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, and Threads, totaling 3.88 billion monthly active users. This means that nearly half of the world's population is using the social media giant's platforms.

Despite facing a decline in popularity among younger users, Facebook continues to show growth in daily active users, with 2.064 billion people engaging with the platform daily, up from 2.037 billion in the previous quarter. This growth is noteworthy, as Facebook had reported a decline in daily active users in the final quarter of 2021.

Part of the growth can be attributed to the introduction of Reels, a short video format similar to TikTok, which has gained immense popularity across Instagram and Facebook. Moreover, Threads, the text-based social platform tied with Instagram, is also gaining traction.
