Carl Pei's Nothing, the new tech company from OnePlus co-founder, revealed the design of its first wireless earbud product called Concept 1.

This render shows the design and features that the company will use in its upcoming wireless earbuds. The design was developed by Tom Howard, who is the Assistant Director of Design at Teenage Engineering, Swedish music and audio equipment manufacturer.

In an official statement, Nothing said that the case's transparent elements embody its desire to bring technology closer to people. The shape of the earbuds has been inspired by "a grandmother's tobacco pipe."

Carl Pei chose openness and accessibility as Nothing's core idea to make technology easier for people. He promised to share details about the earbuds soon.

"These are the principles that have guided our product design over the past several months," says Nothing. "We look forward to showing you how this comes to life through our first products this summer."

The earbuds are slated to be released in the summer of 2021. At the same time, Nothing will have to compete with many manufacturers in the segment of wireless earbuds, including Apple, Samsung, Huawei, Sony, Bose, and Sennheiser.
