Apple has announced the dates of its annual summer developer conference, WWDC. The upcoming event will take place from June 6 to 10, 2022, and will be held virtually in an online format for the third time. Participation in WWDC 2022 is free for all developers.
In addition to the online presentation, the company will host an in-person session for some developers and students at Apple Park on June 6 to watch the keynote and State of the Union videos together, along with the online community. The number of seats will be limited, and Apple will provide details on how to apply later.
The Cupertino company is expected to unveil new versions of iOS, iPadOS, watchOS, tvOS, macOS, as well as new technologies, tools, and frameworks.
In addition, the event traditionally features a Swift Student Challenge, where young programmers can demonstrate their skills in the Swift Playgrounds, an app for iPad and Mac to study the Swift programming language. Students who wish to participate in the challenge can submit their work through April 25.
